Eugene graduated with B.Comm and B.C.L degrees from University College Cork and worked first in the legal departments of a number of Insurance companies in Dublin before being admitted as a solicitor in 1979. He was admitted as a partner in 1982.
He was appointed Law Agent to the Port of Cork in 1988, and as such is responsible for advising the Port on its many faceted legal activities. A noted expert on marine law, he advises a number of local authorities and shipping companies on marine matters. His other main practice speciality is employment law and he represents a number of multi-national and smaller companies in relation to employment matters. Eugene also heads up the Employment Law practice of the firm.
He is also solicitor for several of Cork’s leading Secondary Colleges.
