Licensing Law:

Coakley Moloney's Licensing department advises a number of owners/operators of pubs, restaurants and hotels. We advise a number of the largest off license chains in the south of Ireland and have a particular expertise in relation to the developing business of branding and franchising of both greenfield and existing off license premises.

We provide our clients with a complete service including the obtaining of new licenses, transfer and renewals, sale and purchase of licensed premises and licenses. We have also obtained and advised in relation to hotel licenses, restaurant certificates, special restaurant licenses, registered clubs, commercial sports and leisure clubs and wholesale licenses.

We advise and represent clients in prosecutions under the Licensing Code including after hours prosecutions and under age drinking prosecutions.

In addition we ensure that all our clients are kept fully up to date with all developments, both at government and policy level, and, just as importantly, in relation to licensing and control requirements of An Garda Siochana, Local Authorities at regional and local level.

We act for a number of established Auctioneering firms and provide the necessary legal assistance in the yearly renewal of their licenses. In addition we also make applications for clients who wish to start up their own Auctioneering business.

We prepare all the necessary documentation, including publication of the renewal notice culminating in our attendance at the District Court to process the application.
